Hall-of-Fame Coach, Howard Golding joins Hoot, some 40 years after being his 7th grade Social Studies teacher to discuss his incredible life story. I wasn't the only smart-ass little kid who Coach Golding helped (you'll have to listen or watch the entire podcast to understand this reference). There we're hundreds that he built a bridge for and as a result, helped generations of individuals and families have a better understanding of tolerance, faith, empathy, servitude, and humanity because of his selflessness and incredibly thoughtful leadership. You don't want to miss this powerful interview as we discuss not only how we both lost our father's when we we're 9 years old but how we we're both integrated at a young age and how basketball and baseball saved us both and as a result allowed us the privilege and honor of being educators, coaches, father figures, and much much more. Flowers to Howard's queen, his wife Rita of nearly 50 years whose love of sports, basketball in particular and western television shows at night are just two of the reasons (of many) as to why Howard adores her so much and allowed their partnership to flourish with each new day. The key to his marriage? Not arguing. Their unbreakable bond has stood the test of time and allowed them to raise two incredible daughters and four amazing grandchildren. And his answers to our very famous rapid fire, "This or That" segment of the podcast are worth the price of admission.
