A reflection on John 13:1-20
Jesus washes his disciples feet, even including the one who betrays him. This is a moment where we learn that the most important thing is to actually receive grace rather than worrying about all the things we “should” do. At the same time, those who follow Jesus are also sent out to humbly serve as he did, with no sense of superiority - simply a free offer of hospitality. Still the message remains focussed on receiving the one sent to us with gracious hospitality and service.
