Truth be told, being an artist is lonely and liberating all at the same time. There’s a ton of high moments where your fans are celebrating your wins but very few see the downfalls. The multiple no’s at auditions, the featured songs that didn’t come through, or even the long nights of trying to get that last episode written just right for a network submission.
It’s tough. But if you ask any true artist, they wouldn’t trade it for the world. We glorify their successes but never acknowledge the pain that comes with it. The journey of an artist is different from other professions, their wins and losses are publicized and there mental health journey is the most important of them all.
