Let's be honest we all live pretty comfortable lives! We have climate controlled homes, cars and offices. We have refrigeration, comfy couches & beds, and can shop without leaving our house. While I love all our modern conveniences, I've come to realize how they have also made us "soft" as a society. Unless you are a farmer or manual labor worker, the idea of working with your hands & spending all day outdoors in the heat or cold is a foreign concept. One of the main things I've learned after one month of homesteading is the importance & value of getting dirty, working hard and getting physically uncomfortable. In today's episode I share my thoughts on why I think we need to toughen up and put our bodies through some good old fashioned hard work.
