Ed is the founder and Chief Relationship Officer of We Are Connect-ED, Senior Consultant/Financial advisor for SEM Wealth Management and Co-Founder of Shining Light in Darkness a nonprofit that focuses on sexual assault and domestic violence.
Born and raised in the birthplace of basketball, Springfield, MA, he was a long-time W-2 employee. Before venturing out into the entrepreneurial and non-profit field and had over 20 years of financial services experience and has worked for some of the largest financial services companies in the country in various positions such as Regional Vice President for Evergreen Investments, Senior Vice President for Wells Fargo Advisors and Senior Vice President for a subsidiary of AIG.
In 2018 as a way to serve business owners, entrepreneurs, and those from marginalized communities: such as women and people of color, We Are Connect-ED is all about service to others. Our premise when we began was to create a platform for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and the community to come together and build real and lasting relationships.
Connect-ED is a professional community consisting of individuals who understand the importance of building meaningful connections. Built on the idea that the small business community, regardless of the industry we all share a common goal, to develop strong relationships that help grow their businesses and professional lives. Through events in several cities within the U.S., We Are Connect-ED provides a platform that makes connecting easy, educational, and most of all enjoyable.
