Robert Stivers was the first photographer I can remember seeing their images and being floored by them. As a young man in the midwest I was not even aware of photography as a fine art, and his work opened my eyes as to what that could mean. He inspired me to attempt to create images I had never imagined before through technique and meticulous planning.
