What does Jesus mean when He tells us "Take up your cross and follow me"? Perhaps He is calling us to turn to Him in trust, to bear our daily crosses with grace and to see our difficulties as an opportunity for santification. As Josemaria Escriva says “Work and any other activity, carried out with the help of grace, is converted into a means of daily sanctification.”
