Description

In this episode we talk about how much Kanye and T-Pain impacted Hip Hop in the late 2000's. Their use of the Pro-tools plug-in, Auto-tune, changed everything! It impacted Hip Hop and RnB like nothing else before to the point where 90% of the top 40 industry sounds the same.
There was a saviour and his name was Pop Smoke. This 20 year old was going to bring hip hop back to New York.  He was going to do it with a touch of the UK drill scene where even Pop , just kept talking about changing the game.  Hip Hop was about to be reborn ..
On the 19th of February , Pop Smoke was killed in a robbery that went wrong and when he passed away that morning i honestly feel like a piece of hip hop died with him ..
Now Hip Hop is stuck again. Stuck in this horrible cycle where having no talent is no big deal. As long as we have this pitch correction technology , just looking the part and playing the part will do ..
We need another Pop Smoke! Hip Hop needs another Hero to take it away from this over-saturated sound, that honestly : is played out !
