The period after January 6th is considered Epiphany. For this weeks podcast , we will be exploring the Medieval and Renaissance art of one of the Magi: Balthazar. Depending on the source, Balthazar is considered to be of African origin, however sometimes Caspar is considered from this continent. Starting in the mid 1400's more and more Western European Nativity art depicted, and identified Balthazar as African. As always, art is reflecting deep messages from the spiritual world.
