Holy Mary th Royal of Uxué in Basque Country may have been a Black Madonna in her earlier days, but while she has a different presentation than many of her dark sisters in the region, her narrative is similar. Uxué was founded upon her legend, and is a Spanish National Heritage Site, attracting pilgrims for hundreds of years.
