Housed since the 13th century in Jerez de la Frontera, this Black Madonna like so many of her sisters on the Iberian Peninsula reflects the history of Spain through many challenges and transformations. Our Lady of Mercy is an inspiration to all who seek solace during times of crisis, and invites all to have Mercy towards others.
