Tammy Reynolds joins us Toniiiiiiiight in THA Schtudio as we talk to her all about her exclusive and exciting Art Therapy services here in Thunder Bay,ON.
Tammy served as a Law enforcement officer for several years before she turned her passion towards Art Therapy for her clients. She experienced PTSD while in service and had to consult a therapist for her mental well-being, that is where she found a keen interest in using art in the healing process.
Tammy believes that everyone can draw and every picture tells a thousand tales about a person and their psyche, it also momentarily distracts them from talking about their issues as their hands are busy creating on paper and subconsciously lets out things they wouldn't normally say to a therapist. Tammy also shared her process of discovering our own inner critic and dealing with it while being focused on our goals. She usually asks her clients to draw what their inner critic looks like and each client has an unique idea of how it looks which is fascinating.
