Hi, I’m Madison, and welcome to the very first episode of The Madison Ward Show.
I’m excited to have this opportunity to share with you interviews of people in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro area who inspire change and give back to the community. Thank you so much for tuning in today.
This is a very special first episode, and I am honored to have incredible guests who will join us on the show today.
First, UNC student Natalie Salib will share how she manages the Purple Bowl Restaurant in Chapel Hill while being a full-time business student, how she developed an app that allows customers to order from their phone, and what Purple Bowl’s response is to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Then, UNC tennis players Anuj Watane and Rinky Hijikata will share with us their love of tennis, the performance of the UNC team, and their responses to the season being canceled. Anuj is a national championship tennis winner, and Rinky is a Junior Olympic medalist who has played and advanced in the world’s best tournaments, including Wimbledon, the French Open, and the Australian Open.
We also have student musician Drell, who has over 100 thousand streams on Spotify alone. Drell will talk with us about the creation of his music and give us an exclusive preview of his song “Not Okay”, which he will officially debut on April 14th.
