This has dominated the news cycle in the last week as Meta announced a plan to offer a paid subscription service to get verification and customer support. To note, this only a test right now. It's also only for personal profiles right now (not business profiles). There are a LOT of issues to be worked out and even Instagram seems confused on how this will work or how it will impact users.
