Description

Marisa, Tashay & Barbara start off talking about Will & Jada and their "entanglement" (3:13). The ladies talk about their personal experience as a girl from the hood in Toronto(10:00) while running into girls from the outskirts claiming the hood(18:38). Marisa also brings up the fact that hood girls are the original "trendsetters" and the ladies move on to  talk about  watching the world adapt to hood culture &the black girl aesthetic(20:00). Marisa asks the women how'd they cope with beef as a girl from the hood(30:00), the changes in the hood between now and then(36:00) and knowing and valuing our hood men on a personal level(38:00).. Marisa moves on to ask the ladies "how old were they when they realized hood life isn't the norm"(46:00). They move on to discuss hood ethics and hood smarts(57:00), how hood life influenced their perception of life (1:00:00) and lastly, the women offer advice to young black girls in the hood (1:03:00)
