During the Batista regime black Cuban were treated badly. There were racist laws that was put in place to keep black people from getting jobs , healthcare , housing ,and education. They didn’t have good healthcare, education and good housing including the poor white cuban. In 1959 when Castro overthrow the Batista government. During that time most Cuban were illiterate. Castro and Che make sure education was provided to all Cuban regardless of race or class. During the that time a lot of those white middle and upper class Cubans left to south Florida. A lot them didn’t agreed with Castro and his policies. Secondly Castro did killed some of them. A lot of those white Cuban were making a lot of money and their owned a lot of lands during Batista regime. That’s why when Castro took over the island. They hated him. Don’t let them fooled u . Most of them still have those hatred towards black people and Fidel Castro . Most of them vote republicans and they run South Florida. During the sixties and 70’s a lot them work for the CIA as agents. Get knowledge understanding and wisdom.
