In the first story, we learn about a Pre-Colombian fortune teller, who foretells the end of an empire. She is born of the sea and returns to the sea.

In the second story, a boy dismisses tales of a strange orange tree. It is the most delicious oranges ever, but you cannot take it away. The boy learns his lesson quickly.
