WHEN ARE THE TIMES IN OUR LIFE AS BELIEVERS THAT WE EXPERIENCE THE GREATEST LOVE OF JESUS. AS WE HAVE MENTIONED MANY TIMES BEFORE, WE AS TRUE BELIEVERS, WHEN WE WERE MADE A NEW CREATION, WE BECAME EXACTLY THAT, A NEW CREATION, WE BECAME, A NEW CREATURE WITH NEW CHARACTERISTICS. WE BECAME NO LONGER A NATURAL MAN, BUT A SPIRITUAL MAN. WE ARE EITHER 100% A NATURAL MAN OR WE ARE 100% A SPIRITUAL MAN. IN TRUE CHRISTIANITY THERE IS NOTHING IN BETWEEN THE NATURAL MAN AND THE SPIRITUAL MAN, THAT IS NO SUCH THING AS A HYBRID, AS WELL AS THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HYBRID DOG OR CAT: A DOG IS A DOG AND A CAT IS A CAT. A NATURAL MAN IS A NATURAL MAN AND A SPIRITUAL MAN IS A SPIRITUAL MAN. GEORGE WHITEFIELD SPEAKS OF THE FACT THAT EITHER JESUS CHOOSES US OR WE CHOOSE JESUS, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS HYBRID CHOOSING. GEORGE WHITEFIELD SAYS THAT EITHER GOD IS THE FIRST MOVER OR WE AS NATURAL MEN ARE THE FIRST MOVER. DID ADAM CALL OUT TO GOD AFTER THE FALL OR DID ADAM HIDE HIMSELF AFTER THE FALL WHEN GOD CALLED OUT TO HIM. A NEW SPIRITUAL CREATURE IS A BRAND NEW CREATURE THAT HAS BEEN TRANSLATED FROM 100% SPIRITUAL DARKNESS TO 100% SPIRITUAL LIGHT. THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD ONLY BRIGHTENS THE SPIRITUAL LIGHT FOR THE NEW CREATION IS REMINDED OF THE SPIRITUAL DARKNESS FROM WHICH HE WAS TRANSLATED FROM. BUT JESUS IS THAT LIGHT AND SPIRITUAL DARKNESS MAKES US FLEE TO JESUS AS OUR REFUGE WHERE WE EXPERIENCE BOTH HIS LOVE AND OUR FATHER’S LOVE. JUST IMAGINE HOW GREY HEADED DANIEL WHO GEORGE WHITEFIELD POINTS OUT WAS 80 YEARS OLD WHEN HE WAS THROWN INTO THE LION’S DEN AND BECAUSE THE PRE INCARNATE CHRIST(JESUS) WAS THERE WITH HIM THE LIONS NEVER A LAID A PAW ON HIM. CAN WE IMAGINE HOW HOW OUR BELOVED DAMIEL EXPERIENCED THE LOVE OF HIS BELOVED JESUS IN THE FURNACE OF AFFLICTION. BUT EVEN WHEN WE ARE BEING DISCIPLINED BY OUR LORD WE EXPERIENCE THE OF LOVE GOD FOR WE INSTINCTIVELY KNOW HE IS DISCIPLINING US AS A PROTECTION TO US. THUS BOTH THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD AND THE DARKNESS OF OUR OWN HEART MAKES US FLEE TO OUR LORD JESUS AS OUR REFUGE THAT WE MIGHT BE EMBRACED IN HIS LOVING ARMS AS A WEANED CHILD RUNS TO HIS MOTHER FOR REFUGE: OUR SOUL IS AS A WEANED CHILD: SURELY OUR BEHAVES AND QUIETS ITSELF AS A WEANED CHILD TO ITS MOTHER. PSALM 131: [1] LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
[2] Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
[3] Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever. Heb. 12: [4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
[5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
[6] For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
[7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
[8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
[9] Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
[10] For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
[11] Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
[12] Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
[13] And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
