Fiona Simpson is a trail blazer in the Queensland Parliament as the longest serving female MP, and first woman to serve as its Speaker in more than 150 years.
Elected as the Member for Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast in 1992, she is currently the Shadow Minister for Integrity in the Government, State Development, Infrastructure and Planning and Olympics and Paralympics infrastructure and Jobs.
Fiona believes that local solutions lead to global answers and champions the power of collaborative community leadership to help identify and solve local problems, working with numerous community and service organisations who share the same vision.
