Rebecca Grisman is a highly qualified media and marketing professional with more than 25 years of experience as a journalist and marketing director. She has managed public affairs, marketing strategy, community engagement and media relations for major property developers, government, universities and charities, spanning Australia, the UK and Ireland.
Rebecca has directed marketing communications and PR for five universities, both in Australia and overseas. Rebecca was the first marketing manager for USC from 1994, during the campus’ construction through to its first graduation. She also created and taught the first communication and media units; now these are full USC degrees.
Her current role is managing community engagement and special projects for Coast2Bay, one of Qld’s largest, not-for-profit, Tier 1 community housing companies.
Rebecca has won awards for community and business leadership, including a major prestigious US award for her work developing a national road safety program with Hanson (Heidelberg) for schools across Australia.
In her own time, Rebecca voluntarily supports strategic fundraising campaigns for local charities, including SunnyKids, Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge, the Make It Stop Committee addressing domestic and community violence, and is a Director of a leading school’s Foundation Board.
