Description

This week we are rejoined by listener favorite Chris from Brooklyn to discuss a topic of import to Chris's ethnic background. Benito Mussolini was "Il Duce" , the supreme leader of Italy between 1922 when he dramatically marched on Rome with his band of black shirts and was granted emergency power from the King til his death in 1945 at the hands of Italian leftist partisans and OSS backed rebels. We cover his humble beginnings as a leftwing socialist school teacher and discuss some big ideas about the nature of democracy itself along the way to his demise and humiliation hanging upside down in a gas station in Rome.
