Robert Beard, RN, MSN, MBA has a unique practice which incorporates his education and experience as a Registered Nurse. He has been a nurse for well over 20+ years. His C-Suite resume is extensive as he has served as a Chief Nurse Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
He began his career as an Emergency Room Nurse and was instrumental in developing improvements in patient flow and pediatric outcomes in multiple geographic areas that were riddled with less than favorable outcomes.
As an experienced health care administrator, he is familiar with health care governance, compliance, reimbursement and legal requirements of opening and operating hospitals and supporting various hospital and clinic programs. He was instrumental in improving and leading the development of long-term acute care hospital utilization in the United States.
Robert gained his knowledge base receiving his nursing and business degrees from Indiana University. He is active in many professional organizations, including Emergency Nurses Association and American Organization of Nurse Executives.
At present, he is the founder and CEO of the Nurse’s Room, a professional nursing platform geared at improving and supporting the nursing profession.
Robert uses his expertise in nursing and business in health care consultations and nursing education. He speaks nationally on various topics regarding health policy, health care finance and administration, social justice and governance in nursing. His research interests embody a great deal of subject matter that is so relevant in today’s medical, political and racial climates, including health care governance and the racial disparities in nursing education.
