On this episode, we speak with the general manager at the San Antonio River Authority (SARA) - Derek Boese. Derek explains how important of a role the organization has in maintaining a safe environment here in the Alamo City. He talks about their mission to create/maintain safe, clean, and enjoyable creeks and rivers.


The San Antonio River Authority was created in 1937, and is one of many active river authorities in Texas. Though San Antonio is in the name, their jurisdiction covers 3,658 square miles, and includes all of Bexar, Wilson, Karnes and Goliad Counties.
