If you're a regular Middleish fan you'll know that Erin did a pretty epic event a couple weeks ago. The Unbound 200 is a 200 (and six!) mile gravel race based in Emporia, Kansas. Yes, we know it sounds wildly NOT Middleish to embark on such an adventure.

And yet, we think Erin's recap of her day has a strong theme of finding middle ground for mind and body. If you could never even fathom doing a 15+ hour event, this is sure to take you into the world of endurance racing from the perspective of a former pro. And if you have any interest in dabbling in mind-bending world of double century gravel, perhaps you'll find some nuggets of wisdom that will help you achieve your best on the day.

Erin Green is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, recovering professional triathlete and owner of Erin Green Racing and Nutrition in Boise, Idaho. Michael Gray is a personal trainer, nutritional coach, father of two and a sucker for a bag of gummy bears. See what he's up to at www.michaelgrayfitness.com.
