We know you've been holding your breath for this one! After much teasing and dabbling on the topic, we've finally put together an entire episode devoted to ketogenic diets.
We use the term "diets" (plural) because as you'll hear there are wide variations in what many believe constitutes a "ketogenic diet." This is not just an opportunity for us to rant, although there is some good fun poked at certain aspects of this industry. You'll hear a little about the history of ketogenic diets and how they've been successful in clinical settings. We explain how/why the diet works if done properly and how it is typically done improperly by the unassuming masses who have been duped (yet again) by the diet industry charlatans.
Oh, and get ready to chuckle as we cover an actual, clinical ketogenic diet plan.
This isn't to tell anyone what they're doing is right or wrong. Rather, our goal is to clear up many of the misconceptions around the keto craze reveal this fad diet for what it is.
