Loving is Choosing
So there’s a tale that goes like this.
Sometime Somewhere, a group of fired-up and blood thirsty jihadist raided a predominately Christian village and rounded up everybody.
They were kids among those apprehended so the Extremists saw the children hostages as religious bargaining chips to get their captives to deny their Jesus and join them in professing allah.
They grabbed the kids and lined them up.
They wanted to ask the parents to deny the Lord or their children will be slaughtered but changed their minds and the death game turned on the kids instead.
Presuming that the kids, not fully grounded in the faith, will want their lives spared, they demanded. “Curse Jesus and we will spare your lives and the lives of your entire community with this simple condition, convert to Islam and worship allah only.
The kids responded “it is Jesus that we know and it is in Him that we put our trust.
There is no other God except Jesus
Shedrach Meshach and Abednego did not bow down to falls gods and so will we.
We did not deny Jesus yesterday, we will not deny Him tomorrow and certainly, we will not deny Him today.
This got their captors really infuriated and they decided to make an example of one of the kids.
They took hold of one of the kids, their spokesperson, and painstakingly beheaded her with a little knife and forced the others to watch.
Did they give in? No way they didn’t. Up until the last child, the courage was almost tangible.
They even screamed to the others we’re waiting for you in Heaven as they died.
I know this sounds like exactly what you can do Christian if and when faced wit a similar situation.
Hhmmmmmm.
I just feel like re-leading myself to Christ again.
You can say this words with me.
“ Lord Jesus, I believe you were sent down by The Father to Die for my sins and You did, I confess with my mouth that You are the Son of God
I accept You into my heart as my Lord and Saviour and I promise to share You to the world.
I receive Eternal Life by faith, I have Eternal Life now.
I receive Your Holy Spirit into me, take over from here and lead me into Your rest, Amen.
It might not be the perfect player but If you’ve just said that prayer know that you’re now Born Again and the Spirit of God now dwells in you, Amen.
