Magnify literally means to enlarge a thing. In another sense, it is to amplify something. Our text today identifies thanksgiving as a tool for magnifying God. How is this so and for what purpose must we magnify God?
In thanksgiving, a man testifies of God's goodness. This act of faith brings God into the picture; into the imagination of those who hear Him causing the hearts of those who have not thought or sought-after God to suddenly desire Him. Thanksgiving makes God visible where He had hitherto been unseen.
Magnifying God through your testimony of His goodness is also a way of seeking Him, because not only does it create a consciousness of God in your heart, it drives others to seek Him. Also, as we see in Psalm 69:32, magnifying God comes with a blessing; everything at the core of your life shall live!
