Hannah Alani graduated from the Media School with a degree in Journalism in 2017. She’s now a reporter for Block Club Chicago, a nonprofit newsroom that focuses on local neighborhood news. While Journalism takes many forms, the freedom of the press is essential to a democracy and is protected by the first amendment. Hannah walks us through her impactful experiences working at the Indiana Daily Student and interning and working in professional newsrooms. She also shares tips for students trying to break into the non-profit journalism business as well.
