On today's monster episode, the day before the NFL season kicks off, I get to sit down with a legend of the game. We welcome on All-Pro NFL Fullback, Mike Karney. Mike played seven years in the league including two trips to the Pro Bowl. Mike was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 2004 draft and started immediately, creating a big impact for the Saints backfield. Mike and I talk about what it was like being a position player that the league doesn't see much of anymore. We also talk about the 2005 season that rocked New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. We wrap up with some rapid-fire questions about the upcoming season, his favorite places to play, his Madden rating (he was shocked), and his pick for Super Bowl 55. Mike's story and the message he has for young kids growing up and wanting to play professionally is really a pleasure to hear. Before we gather around the TV for one crazy NFL season, please enjoy, Mike Karney.
