Belarus has seen the strongest protests since now dictator Lukashenko was elected into office in 1994 and turned the country back into a quasi soviet system. In the wake of current protests, there is a real chance that Belarus will see a democratic transformation.
Ales Michalevic ran for president 10 years ago, was later put in jail, tortured, left the country only to return later to keep on the fight.
