This week we chat with Maren Barros who is currently practicing as a Consultant for the Blind and Visually Impaired in primarily rural settings around Spruce Grove, Alberta. Being the sibling of a younger brother who is blind, she has been involved in the field of visual impairment, both personally and professionally for most of her life. With a background in Neuropsychology and Education, Maren is especially passionate about working with children who have Cortical Vision Impairment and finding ways of working collaboratively across specializations in order to ensure that these students have access to AAC.
