Founded by brothers Dylan (MCDC) and Jeff Collins (Mr. Limb), the band comprises six multi-instrumentalists: Dylan on vocals, synth, keys, and MPC; Jeff on guitar and vocals; Ryan Dahir (The Professor) on sax, synth, and keys; Jared Cortez (DJ Still Do) on turntables and SP404; Mike Maschmann (Mike "100") on bass; and Mayo Valdez on drums and percussion.
On November 22, 2024, Electrik Ants released their full-length album, "In This Economy?", which takes listeners through vibrant highs and introspective lows, reflecting the human experience in the current age. The album is available for streaming on all major platforms.
Beyond their studio work, Electrik Ants hosts a bi-weekly live stream, "Live From the Lab," every other Tuesday at 8:00 PM CST on Twitch and YouTube. This acclaimed series not only features the band's original music but also showcases a rotating lineup of Dallas's finest musicians, making it a veritable who's who of the local music scene.
