Description

Sister Jean Marie Craig is a Sister of the Blessed Sacrament for Native Americans and Colored People



She received her doctorate in Physical Education from the University of Southern Mississippi; her Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Northern Arizona University, and her Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Xavier University in New Orleans, where he has been teaching Physical Education, First Aid and CPR for almost 40 years.

In addition to serving as President of Louisiana AHPERD, Sister Jean Marie has served in many other roles for LAHPERD over the years and she has served on the Southern District AAHPERD Board as well.

Sister Jean Marie has received NUMEROUS awards in her career including the AAHPERD Pathfinder Award, the Louisiana AHPERD Pathfinder Award, the Southern District Ethnic Minority Award, the Southern District Leadership Award, the Louisiana AHPERD Honor award, and the Outstanding doctoral student award from the University of Southern Mississippi.

In addition to her awards, Sister Jean Marie has also been recognized as Outstanding Teacher of the Year in Arizona, Basketball Coach of the Year for AIA, President of the Louisiana Association for Teachers, and President of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education.
