Description

Michelle Grenier is the current President of the National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilties (NCPEID). She is an expert in the field of adapted physical education. Michelle received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of Massachusetts, her MS in Special Physical Education from the University of New Hampshire, and her PhD in Physical Education and Disability from the University of New Hampshire. She is Professor Emeritus for the University of New Hampshire where she has been in the Department of Kinesiology since 2000. Michelle is well known for her numerous publications and presentations.

Michelle's teaching career spans more than 30 years. She is the recipient of many awards and honors, such as:

• 2021 SHAPE America- Julian U. Stein Lifetime Achievement Award
• 2020 NHAHPERD Meritorious Achievement Award.
• 2019 Outstanding Program Award. SHAPE America. Tampa, FL.
• 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award from the New Hampshire Governor’s Council on Physical Activity and Health.
• 2015 Inducted International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity as a Research Fellow, Netanya, Israel.
• 2009 Outstanding College Faculty Award, American Associated of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Waterville Valley, NH
