“Always be a person of peace”

Being tranquil, calm and serene, these are the feelings we strive to live in. Being in this peaceful state causes others to gravitate towards us. This is a natural attraction because when the rest of the world is caught up in the chaos of their daily lives, peacefulness stands out.

Imagine being a person who personifies and exudes peace, in all situations. Your life, your being and your state appears as a beautiful picture, something that anyone can look towards and feel comfort. You are like a life raft in the raging sea of life, you will provide safety and answers for a weary world.

The end of suffering is peace. When we have laid down everything that we fought for, held onto, and that the world and our egos told us are true and are important, we find peace. Look at all of the things that cause us stress and to suffer, are they actually important? Do these things truly have the ability to make us happy, important, rich, desirable or loved? The answer is almost assuredly no. Think about this; what is the result of receiving something we think we really want or need? What happens when we do not? Any momentary feeling or emotion that is experienced because of something or someone we desire or expect, is fleeting because it can be taken as quickly as it was given. Peace comes from within, and is not able to be taken from you, but it can be given up if you choose, and you can also share yours with others.

When we evaluate everything in our lives by this premise it is easy to determine what is necessary, and the only thing we find truly necessary for anyone, and at any moment is our next breath. Taking our lives down to the point that we only need our next breath and having that, that everything else is purely a bonus. This leaves us with a peaceful feeling that reminds us that at this moment , and at every moment, we truly have all that we need.

Each day meditate, being grateful and being thankful for everything, happy with nothing and peaceful within, we are now people of peace. MB.
