When it comes to slashers, of course this guy is in my top 3 of all time... Regardless of whether I have to be asleep to get the full effect of his wrath, it still sticks, at least when he is scary. Like he is here. This is the first time, and rightfully so, that Freddy Kruger is scary and a damn mess. He would go on to become a stand up comic in his own films, but this is the one that broke barriers and the mold in horror cinema. Enjoy, people.
