I had no idea what this was but I saw Jeffery Reddick was attached, who wrote both Final Destination and Final Destination 2... So I guess that's a big plus. But something tells me this is an attempt to recreate something similar to the magic that sparked that series in particular. Which can be risky. Enjoy, people.
