André Chiang, one of the biggest names in the culinary world, is an entrepreneur, restaurant owner, chef, and educator. As the founder of two 2 Michelin-starred restaurants, Restaurant André and RAW, André Chiang’s success comes from his constant drive to push the boundaries of culinary traditions and redefine the food scene over the past 30 years of his career.
In his upcoming documentary André & His Olive Tree, we get a glimpse of the life and mind of this modern day artisan through the big screen. The documentary follows André from his announcement of the closure of Restaurant André in Singapore to his return to Taipei. It dissects the relationships he has with the people around him and sheds light on how he finds his way in an ever-changing world while staying authentic and true to his original intention along the way.
