In today’s minisode, Being Black Is... (Part 3), I decided to share my current thoughts and feelings surrounding being Black in "Amerikkka". With the recent shooting of Jacob Blake, it again acts as a sobering weekly reminder of how little our lives matter. It shows how Blacks have this target painted on us by the same people who swear to uphold the laws of our "great nation". It demonstrates how we are perceived as a threat and "killed before being proven innocent", in a country who's constitution states we are to be perceived as "innocent until proven guilty".
