What is the difference between Shame and Guilt?

According to @brenebrown, a research professor who has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, Shame = "I am bad" and Guilt =" I did something bad".

Shame attacks you as an Individual, meanwhile guilt focuses on your behaviour. When you feel attacked that way, you feel that you are not worthy of love and belonging. So, when children are parented by shame, they tend to grow up struggling with self-worth and self-loathing issues. It teaches them that they are inherently not worthy of love and that stays on with that individual as they grow older causing them to behave in self-destructive manners such as violence, aggression, depression, addiction, eating disorders and bullying.
