Venezia outlines the directions of his music with authority, swing and with the
beauty of his lines. The cohesion of these five musicians is the result of an
alchemy as is not always the case in recording sessions where the sound of the
band and the solo qualities of the musicians are so important. Thank you
Giuseppe for your return to the scene as a leader. It would almost be said that
even "we were waiting for such great music".

Attivo sulla scena jazz internazionale
da quasi un ventennio, Giuseppe Venezia è considerato una “first call” da molti
musicisti americani che si esibiscono in Europa. Molto attivo in veste di
sideman con collaborazioni di prestigio, ritorna con un album a proprio nome dopo
una lunga parentesi, presentando un progetto costituito interamente di sue
composizioni, pensato e collaudato dopo innumerevoli concerti con un quintetto di
eccellenza formato da alcuni dei suoi compagni di viaggio più fidati. Il
polistrumentista lucano Attilio Troiano al sassofono tenore e flauto, il
pianista pugliese Bruno Montrone, il batterista lucano Pasquale Fiore
e Fabrizio Bosso alla tromba che ha abbracciato totalmente il progetto
partecipando alla realizzazione di tutte le tracce. L’album attraversa tutte le
tematiche e forme del Jazz moderno, filtrate ed attualizzate attraverso la sapiente
cifra autorale del leader.
