During his tenure leading the Louisiana Seafood Board, Ewell and his team navigated the industry through significant challenges such as Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill, successfully rebuilding billions in lost seafood sales. Notably, he spearheaded the creation and served as the emcee of the Great American Seafood Cook-Off, a televised event featured on Food Network and PBS. Through his experiences, Ewell’s an avid advocate for entrepreneurship through franchising.
