He was born in Arlington to Chris and Lambie Renner, the last of their four children. At Bishop O’Connell High School, he participated in soccer, track, the video production club, the pro-life club and the nap club, which he founded. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington and is graduated from Mount St. Mary's Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Moral Theology. He is currently the parochial vicar of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Fredericksburg.
