This week, we will be learning how to play the bass line to ‘Electric Relaxation’ by A Tribe Called Quest. The time has come to tackle one of the dopest hip hop bass lines of all time. I wanted to get into to this one years ago, but to my surprise there are multiple interpretations of this 3 bar chord progression. I had to do mad research and study up on harmony to get the most accurate info possible. But we here! Such a fun line to play; 3 bar loops are truly a different vibe compared to the traditional 4, and I’m here to break it down for ya’ll. B Major.
