In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing BARBIE (2023) currently in theaters. With a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, the film follows Barbie (Margot Robbie) who is stuck in an existential crisis brought on by her humans in the real world, Gloria and Sasha (America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt). She goes on a quest after speaking with "weird" Barbie (Kate McKinnon) who tells her she has to venture into the real world and fix things. Ken (Ryan Gosling) comes along for the adventure and both of them have quite the adventure in the real world. The film clocks in at 1 h 54 m, is rated PG-13 and is directed by Greta Gerwig.
