Description

In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS (2004) which you can find on AMC+ or on Prime Video. Directed by Joe Roth, from John Grisham's novel and screenplay by Chris Columbus' the film follows Luther and Nora Krank (Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis), who decide to skip Christmas when their only daughter decides to join the Peace Corp and not spend the holidays home. They encounter pushback from friends, colleagues and neighbors but are committed to their Caribbean cruise until they get a call from their daughter, Blair (Julie Gonzalo) saying she will indeed be back home in a day to celebrate with her family and their annual Christmas shindig. A dull script and uninteresting characters make this movie a pass. Instead we recommend checking out
