In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing CRUSH (2022), currently streaming on Hulu. The film, directed by Sammi Cohen, follows Paige (Rowan Blanchard) as she struggles to maneuver high school, trying to get into Cal Arts, a mom who's a smidge over the top, a best friend who is constantly sucking face with his girlfriend all while not trying to look foolish in front of her own crush, Gabi (Isabella Ferreira). To get closer to her crush, she tries out for the track team and is paired with Gabi's sister AJ (Auli'i Cravalho) who Paige soon discovers might actually be The One. The film is written by Kirsten King and Casey Rackham and is rated TV-MA. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
