In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing ENOLA HOLMES 2 (2022) which is currently streaming on Netflix. Based on Nancy Springer's "Enola Holmes Mysteries' book series", the film is directed by Harry Bradbeer, with screenplay credits to Jack Thorne, and is the sequel to the 2020 ENOLA HOLMES movie that premiered on Netflix. The film opens up and finds Enola (Millie Bobby Brown) being chased by police, then breaking the 4th wall and going back to tell the story up to this particular point. High off the success of solving her initial case, Enola finds herself starting a detective agency. Unfortunately, her happiness is short lived because she soon finds herself unable to make a go of her new business and having to close her storefront. As she is packing up, Bessie (Serrana Su-Ling Bliss), comes to hire Enola to try and find her missing "sister," Sarah (Hannah Dodd). A few of the characters from the first movie return and her brother, super sleuth, Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) plays a more prominent role in this story. The film has a run time of 2 h 9 m, and is rated PG-13. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
