In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing FLASH GORDON (1980) courtesy of Uncle Jay (Thanks Uncle Jay!!!) but also to buy/rent from Prime Video. With a screenplay by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and Michael Allin, based on characters created by Alex Raymond; the film is directed by Mike Hodges. This story follows Flash (Sam J Jones) and Dale (Melody Anderson) who are kidnapped by crazy Dr, Zarkov (Topol) and go into space to face off with Ming the Merciless (Max Von Sydow) who is hellbent on destroying Earth. The film still holds up (YAY!) and clocks in at 1 h 51 m and is rated PG. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.More info on the film can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_Gordon_(film)
