In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing FROZEN (2013), which you can find for streaming on Disney+. Written and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and loosely based off Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen," the film follows sisters, Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) who from tragedy grow apart but rediscover the other after their parents deaths and as Elsa is to be crowned the new Queen of Arendelle. Things go wrong and Elsa flees but not before casting an eternal winter on the land. Anna, now having a better understanding of her sister, chases after her to let her know that she isn't alone and that together they will fix things. Will Anna get to Elsa in time and convince her that together they are stronger? Fantastic voice acting, a remarkable soundtrack, a strong story and stunning visuals make this one of Disney's new classics and rightly so. This film was a winner for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song at the 2014 Academy Awards. The film clocks in at 1 h and 42 m and is rated PG. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
